The first autumn picture this week comes from Limhamn lime quarry where the lime for the concrete for the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro was quarried. The other picture is from an iron age grave site at Röglinge in southern Sweden. Originally two stone ships were situated on the site. Now only a few standing stones remain among them some of the end stones at the bow and the stern. Circa 70 stones are scattered in an oak copse.
The weather is typical for autumn, some clear days interspersed with rainy days. The trees are getting more and more yellow leaves and the temperature is coming down but it is still rather pleasant.
