Happy New Year!

IMG_5181It is usually only snow for a few days a year and the snow typically melts after five to seven days. And true to form the snow started to melt on tuesday. Now on the last day of the old year the snow is all gone. The picture is taken by Öresundsbron between Sweden and Denmark close to the memorial of the rescue of the jewish population of Denmark during World War II. An armada of small vessels crossed the strait and almost all of the Danish jews escaped to Sweden. And it is a kind of fitting to send a thought on this troubled last day of 2014 and many hopes for a much better 2015.

A Happy New year to you all!
