School begins in Sweden this week. The summer vacations are from the beginning of June to the middle of August and many Swedes take most of their vacation during the summer months. But summer in Sweden has been rainy and cold and many people have booked or tried to book trips to warmer places when they discovered how the weather this summer turned out to be. But now people return to work and school after their vacations and the summer weather have at last arrived at the end of the summer. A headline on the Swediehs national TV reads like this Holiday ends – now begins the summer. But that is life – you can´t tell the weather gods to give you the weather you wish for at any given time.
On Saturday in Malmö I took the pictures in the beginning of this posting. Malmöfestivalen, the annual festival that lasts for a week in Malmö started on Friday night and a lot of people were taking the bus into town. I had other things to do so I didn´t go into town but the weather was warm, circa 25 degrees Celsius with a slightly overcast sky.
The pictures are from from Malmö in southern Sweden and Borås in western Sweden.
More pictures on Our World Tuesday and on Skywatch.
Look like the weather played tricks on the citizens of Sweden.

The weather can be maddening at times – especially for the poor Swedes who couldn’t afford a holiday abroad!
I’ve enjoyed reading your post and seeing your pics of Sweden – thank you!
